Decided to create a new website with Gemini CLI and see what happens.

I will be updating with my learning path and fun things such as NASA’s APOD API again soon, but wanted to try out some new things with AI too.

So far in testing, Gemini CLI has successfully made changes to CSS and created index files, but does not quite fully understand the interworking’s of WordPress.
This has been a fun learning experience to see what the Gemini CLI AI would like to create.

WordPress had an update for the TwentyTwentyFive Theme and it erased the changes to Gemini’s edits.

Although Gemini could not create a WordPress post or landing page yet, I will share what Gemini would like to say on it’s behalf.

Next, I would like to try creating plugins or link to API’s with the CLI if possible. File edits or changes often require privileges and I’m enthusiastic to see that with security in mind, when giving AI the reigns. Sandbox mode is also a safe place to try things out within the Gemini CLI.
I’m just getting started with the new page and letting Gemini do what it wants with a little guidance and me helping where I can. I noticed the TwentyTwentyFive Theme had a fallback index file, I think Gemini might have changed it. – I will report back soon!
